Over the past few months I have covered a lot of celebrities’ make-up bags and a lot of people have asked what I use and what makes up my make-up bag. I have to admit to having a vast and varied make-up bag but I have my core essentials that I always go back to achieve my make-up look.

I start my make-up routine by always prepping my skin with Skin primer by Dermalogica €39.99 which smooths out any imperfections and provides a smooth base for my foundation. My all-time favourite foundation is Georigo Armani Luminous Silk available online from House of Fraser. It is on the expensive side, so I use it at night or for special occasions and buy it as a treat on my way through duty-free. It has everything I need in a foundation, it lasts, and it’s luminous and has good natural coverage. As an alternative I use Moisture Fusion Foundation €25.00 from Fuschia. It is my daily wear foundation and is very similar to Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. I always use a foundation brush and highly recommended Essence powder brush €3.49 for applying foundation. It’s excellent value, more hygienic than a foundation sponge and it will save you a fortune on foundation. I suffer with under eye dark circles so concealer is a must, so I use Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat available online from House of Fraser for €35.00 under my eyes to help conceal dark circles and illuminate the eye area. I have recently got the AYU concealer palette and love it as it has 15 shades of concealer so perfect for concealing any blemishes all year around and excellent for highlighting and contouring.

I set the foundation and concealer with Smashbox Halo Hydrating Powder €39.00 online @ boots. It has brilliant packaging, you just twist the top and it shaves the pressed powder underneath into loose powder. You can control the amount of powder you want, so there is no wastage. It is also pigmented so it gives you a dash of colour. I love a touch of rosy pink on the cheeks so I use Artdeco mineral blush €14.75. It illuminates the cheeks instantly and stays put all day. I generally opt for MAC eye shadows for €16.00 in any colour when choosing eye shadow. I am a big fan of smoky eyes so I love MAC eye shadow in Espresso and Woodwinked. I recently bought the Lacura Kohl eyeliner from ALDI €2.99 and was very impressed. They come in a variety of shades. They go on easily and stay on.  When I’m not wearing individual eyelash extensions I always use Maybeline Great Lash €7.49 in Boots. I finish the look with pink gloss. I’m loving the Catrice crayon lip pencils €4.99 available from Penneys and Dunnes stores nationwide. It’s a crayon so no need for sharpening just twist and apply. They have a high gloss finish. The colour doesn’t last very long but for the price I love them.

Sara’s favourite Skin Treatment: To get glowing smooth skin I always opt for microdermabrasion. As a luxury treatment I love Guinot Hydradermie Facial.
