Lisa’s beauty tip is to always remove make-up before going to bed as clogged pores are one of the main causes for skin imperfections. Sleeping with your make-up on denies the skin of oxygen, preventing it from self-repairing, leaving you with dull skin. Your make-up absorbs lots of pollution, dirt and residues from the environment during the day so by removing your make-up before you sleep you are washing away cell pollution and free radicals that are harmful to skin health.

Lisa also drinks plenty of water to keep her skin in optimum condition. If your skin is not getting sufficient water, the lack of hydration will present itself by turning your skin dry, tight and flaky. Dry/dehydrated skin is more prone to wrinkling so drink at least eight glasses a day. The unfortunate truth about drinking water and skin is that water will reach all the organs before it reaches the skin. So it’s important to use products that contain hyaluronic acid as it holds 1,000 times its own weight in water, attracting water to itself and holding it there. Lisa always takes a break from not wearing make-up to allow her skin to breathe.

Her best beauty advice is to avoid the sun and she always wears a Sun Protection factor of 50. For more information on Lisa’s fashion fix roadshows and books go to fitzpatrickstyle.com.
