Asian Bridal Make-up- Step by Step Guide
Mac eyebrow pencil in spiked – Line the brows slightly below the brow hair. Lining below the hair creates a nice sharp brow. Bring the tail out nice and long. Also line above the brow slightly, as with Asian bridal you want a heavy brow. Fill the brow in with the pencil. Flick the product up towards the front to give a fade and make the brow look more natural.
Tape off the eyes. Bring the tape slightly below the eye. Bring it right up to the hair line.
Mac select cover up in NW15 Mac 252 brush – Carve out the brow to give it a nice clean sharp edge. Cover the entire lid with the product. This will provide you with a good base for eyeshadows. Use a lot of concealer on the lid. On Asian skintone you don’t want it to go grey or ashy. You want it to be a completely blank canvas. Pat the product to set it. Eyeshadows will go patchy if you don’t pat and set the product.
Mac eyeshadow in nylon Mac 239 brush – Push the product into the inner corner of the eye and underneath the arch of the brow. Always use a small circular buffing motion as this will provide the best coverage and make sure your highlight is nice and bright.
Illamasqua eyeshadow in vapour Zoeva 228 brush – Start in the centre of the socket, dump and blend the product. Bring the product slightly higher than the crease. Round off the product towards the outer edge of the eye and blur it towards the tape. Bring the product up nice and high and onto the outer third of the eye.
Mac eyeshadow in red brick Mac 221 brush – Dump and blend this product slightly lower than your previous colour. Bring the product down in a circular shape towards the tape. Remember to go back in with your previous colours for your sandwich stages.
Mac blusher in film noir Zoeva 224 brush – Buff this product in lower than the previous colour. Dump and blend the product. Bring this product right down to the tape.
Mac select cover up in NW15 Mac 242 brush – Cut out the crease. Use the brush shape to create the perfect line. Start the cut from the first lash. Round off the outer corner. Pat the product to set it.
Apply a very small amount of lash glue over the top of where you just applied the concealer.
Peaches and cream pigment in Gatsby Mac 252 brush – Pat the product onto the eye where you just cut the crease and applied glue. Keep applying more product. Don’t drag the product, pat it in place. If you drag it will crack. Leave a small gap at the lash line so when you go in with your liner the pigment wont peel or flake.

Inglot 77 or Maybelline gel liner in black Mac 263 brush – Pat the liner into place, don’t drag it. If you drag your pigment underneath will crack and flake. Bring the liner across quite thick. Make sure the liner is thicker on the outer corner. Only bring the liner to the edge of the cut crease.
Urban decay eyeshadow in blackout Mac 263 brush – Press the shadow over the top of the liner you just applied. This will set it into place and stop it from transferring.
Maybelline gel liner in black Morphe m507 brush – Buff around the edges of the cut crease. Use very small circular motions. Be very soft with the pressure you use. Use the cut crease as a barrier.
Urban decay eyeshadow in blackout – Pat this product over the top of the gel liner you just applied.
Apply false lashes.
Mac eyeliner pencil in feline – Push this product into the lower water line.
Mac select cover up NW15 Mac 217 brush – Buff this product underneath the eyes and onto the nose slightly. Bring it right up to the lash line.
Illamasqua eyeshadow in vapour Mac 217 brush – Bring this product under the eye right down to the tape.
Mac eyeshadow in red brick Mac 217 brush – Bring this product under the eye. Not as low down as the previous colour.
Maybelline gel liner in black Zoeva 224 brush – Buff this product underneath the outer corner of the eye and bring it slightly along the lash line.
Go over the gel liner with urban decay blackout eyeshadow to set it into place.
Apply mascara to the lashes.
Remove the tape from the eyes carefully and remove any eyeshadow fallout with a wipe.
Mac select cover up in NW15 – Go underneath the eye with this. Bring it up to where you applied eyeshadow. This will make the wing look nice and sharp. Only use this to go under the wing. Pat into place to set the product.
Mac pro long wear concealer in NC30 Mac 217 brush – Buff this product under the eye, on the cheeks and onto the nose. Make sure to buff the edges out. Bring it right up to where you applied eyeshadow.
Mac studio fix fluid foundation in NC20 – Apply product to the skin with a spatula. Make sure to use quite a lot of product. Use a real techniques multitask brush to pat the foundation into the skin. The patting motion sets the foundation and provides a full coverage. Use a smaller brush to apply foundation around the eyebrows. Doing this will keep the brows looking sharp.
Add a small amount of pro long wear concealer to the forehead and under eyes and use a real techniques contour brush to buff the product in. This will brighten the face. Make sure you have no harsh lines between your foundation and concealer.
Mac studio fix powder in NC20 Mac 168 brush – Buff the product onto the face. This provides even more coverage.
Mac mineralise skin finish in medium tan Mac 168 brush – Buff the product into the cheeks, use small circular motions and work in small areas. Start at the top of the ear and work your way down. Use the dump and blend technique. Dump the product onto the cheek and anything that’s left on the brush bring slightly higher. Also apply the product along the hairline and jawline to add definition to the face. You can also contour the nose slightly if you want.
Apply studio fix powder under the eyes. This will make the area brighter ready for highlight.
Glam & Co highlighter Zoeva 114 brush – Apply highlight to cheekbones. Use small circular massaging motions to apply the product. Also apply some highlight down the nose and on to tip as well as the cupids bow.
Mac blusher in coppertone – Pat this product onto the cheeks lightly.
Apply Rimmel Black mascara to lower lashes.
PS lip liner – Line the lips. Follow the natural lip line.
Mac lipstick in Yash Mac 242 brush – Apply lipstick to lips.
