17 years ago I landed my dream job! I have always loved beauty and everything related to it and I also love teaching so the chance to combine both was perfect. I am currently teaching beauty therapy and am course co-ordinator of the make-up artistry course in CIFET in Carlow. I have over 22 years’ experience in the beauty industry with qualifications in beauty, make-up, nails and complementary therapies. In 2013, I began writing a column for the Carlow Nationalist sharing tips and giving opinions on products and treatments I have tested.
Through my blog I intend to develop what I write in the column. I receive lots of enquiries and people are always looking for tips and ideas so you will be able to follow my suggestions and experiences. I believe make up and skin care does not need to be complicated but everyone is unique and so what works for one may not work for another.
When I’m not teaching, writing or blogging about beauty, I like to spend time with my husband and 3 children and between us play most sports from running, cycling, hockey, swimming, badminton and soccer – you name it, somebody in my house plays it!
I hope to share with you some experiences from my time in the beauty world and to keep you up to speed on what is new and exciting through my blog prettybeautifulbysara.com
I hope you enjoy it, please check in regularly!
