Carlow Finalists at the Irish Make-up Awards

The talent within the make-up sector has shown no sign of shying away and some of the most successful businesses and make-up artists from all over the country came together on Sunday the 15th July to celebrate their achievements at the Irish Make-Up Awards 2018.

The winners are chosen by members of the public and they are a true reflection of the talent, creativity and professionalism-three key features that enhance the reputation of the Irish make-up industry nationally and internationally.

My dress was from Cari’s Closet €59.00.  I will pop up a seperate blog post and a tutorial of this this make-up look shortly.

The glamorous night was hosted by the Irish best seller author and broadcaster, Andrea Hayes. She handed over 14 amazing accolades to the deserving winners.

Several of the awards were split into local regions to ensure the diverse establishments from across Ireland are recognised for their exceptional work. Although I didn’t win on the night, I was delighted to be a finalist among such amazingly talented artists.

Irfan Younis, CEO of Creative Oceanic, said: “We are very delighted to have welcomed such great contenders at the first ever Irish Make-Up Awards 2018. It was a very memorable night dedicated to those who have spent their whole career in making people look beautiful.

“The make-up industry plays a vital role in the country’s economy and we are very honored to see that our attempt to acknowledge and reward the meritorious professionals of the sector has been successful.

“We will keep pushing the businesses and professionals forward to showcase their impeccable work and get the recognition they deserve.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements and we wish them to keep their professional standards as high as currently are!”

The awards also provided the opportunity to fundraise for a worthwhile cause, raising money for the official charity partner, Make A Wish Ireland, who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
