Is LED phototherapy right for you?

Dermalux LED Treatment

Do you want to try something new, with no down-time, non-invasive and pain free with proven results.

Dermalux is a Tri-wave Light Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy that harnesses the rejuvenating benefits of light therapy whilst avoiding the adverse effects associated with sunlight. Using blue, red and near infrared light, Dermalux can be used to treat a whole range of common skin concerns including: wrinkles, acne and uneven pigmentation.

Megan Markle is a huge fan, getting a course of Dermalux LED treatments from her facialist Sarah Chapman in the lead up to her wedding to Prince Harry.

I went down to award winning beauty salon Ailish beauty and skincare, on  Kieran Street, Kilkenny to try out the hugely popular Dermalux. Ailish ‘says that the difference with Dermalux as opposed to other treatments LED machines is that it has all three colours combined in the machines, so multiple skin concerns can be targeted in one go. We can also customised the machine to your skin concerns as the wavelengths can be delivered simultaneously or individually as to create a personal treatment plan which is designed just for you.’

This is a very relaxing treatment, lying under the warm light of the Dermalux is not unlike basking in the sun, without the bad effects!! This treatment is a great one-off before an event, if you have little prep time or Dermalux treatments can be taken as a course to treat a specific skin concern.

The Treatment

The treatment was very relaxing, pain free experience and a perfect chance to enjoy some me-time for 20 minutes! After a cleanse of my skin, Ailish put goggles on my eyes to protect them from the light during the treatment. My skin had a perfect glow after the treatment with redness and no downtime.
